Weekly Reflection 3

As we are winding down on senior project, our group is realizing the skills and communication skills you need to have in order to operate and we have been doing a great job at it. This week was probably our most packed week and we worked hard. On Monday, we went to make an assembly announcement for our 3v3 basketball tournament and where the money will be going but we weren’t able to because of awards. We then made the rules for the tournament and went to lunch to get more signups. We also got snacks for people to purchase at the tournament. On Tuesday, we got supplies to paint and went to the Merrimack County Jail. This was one of our more busy days at the jail because we had to paint the lines of the handball and basketball court and needed to be precise with the measurements and paint.  We got more signups and also wrote the rules out on a poster board. To end the day, we went to get waters and Gatorades to also sell at the tournament. On Wednesday, we met with Kelly and talked game plan for the 5k and the setup of it. We then made the bracket for the tournament. Thursday was the day of the tournament, and it all worked out great. I started the day off with Renny helping the athletic trainers with a workout they are working on to send out to the Proctor community. We then finalized the rules and teams and after sports it was game time. It felt really good because we did raise a good amount of money for the taxi fund but we also ran a good tournament. Everyone said they loved it and it was organized and well thought out. I have never done an event, so it felt good for my first one to work out well. On Friday, our group went with Kelly to measure out the 5k track and where to put the markers. We also helped out with the shirts and organized them. This week we went Saturday and Sunday which was different for us. Saturday we put the stickers on the numbers for the 5k and on Sunday we woke up before the 5k to setup and after for cleanup. This week was very successful and we are sad that senior project is coming to a close.
